Every forecast on this site gets graded. Ours and the NWS's are
stored the moment they are issued and scored later against what this station
actually measured. Lower mean absolute error is better. If our model cannot beat
persistence — the free forecast that just says "same as yesterday" — then
it is not earning its keep, and this page will say so.
Nothing scored yet
Forecasts are issued hourly and scored once their validity window closes. The first meaningful numbers appear after about a week; a fair comparison needs a month or two.
